What’s involved in a tour?
A tour guide will take you up to the baby animal pen to pat the baby calves.
We will give you a brief history of the farm and the reason why we started Maleny Dairies.
You will then be shown how handmilking is done using our cow ‘Sweetpea’ or ‘FairyBell’ or ‘Millie’.
A walk down into the pit of the dairy to see where the cows get milked. (At the 2.30pm session you can see the cows being milked)
Then we go to the factory so see where the milk is processed and bottled.
See the coldroom and drystore.
Watch a 10 minute DVD showing the process of milk from the cow to the bottle and everything in between.
At the conclusion of the tour you will get to try some of our dairy deliciousness.
Our Farmers Choice Gold Top Milk has won many awards, it is pasteurised only and is as close to raw milk as is legally possible to sell! High in A2 beta-casein protein we find many people that are lactose intolerant are attracted to this milk, as they say it digests more easily.
We believe that our dairy goodness from our herd of Guernsey girls produces a rich creamy milk just like you would have enjoyed when you were a kid. Remember that good old fashioned milk taste?

19 May 2016A big thanks to Senator Glenn Lazarus who spent the day up at Maleny Dairies talking at a gathering of our hard working South East Queensland dairy farmers. We are very proud to have Glenn support our products and our local farmers in South East Queensland.
